a percent, and so did the nasdaq. the obama administration announced new rules today for contraceptive coverage under the affordable care act. faith-based non-profits, like hospitals and universities, would be allowed to issue health insurance without providing coverage for contraceptives. however, employees and students would be able to obtain a separate policy at no cost to the employer. more than 45 federal lawsuits have been filed challenging the contraceptive coverage requirement, claiming the mandate violates religious beliefs. protesters across egypt defied curfews to chant against the rule of egyptian president mohammed morsi. the protests cap a week of political rioting that left up to 60 people dead. and tonight, some of the protests reached the doorstep of the president in cairo. demonstrators hurled objects, including firebombs, over the wall of the presidential palace. morsi was not inside. opposition parties called the protests in an attempt to win concessions from the president. in pakistan, a suicide bomber attacked a shiite mosque, killing at least 23 peo

which we have been living with emerson's and which now the obama administration is trying to take a step further. the clinton administration privatized this in the processing, animals are slaughtered and another step where they are cut up and processed so in the reprocessing there has been the privatized system that we have done a lot of work showing how dangerous it is. the obama administration wants to increase this program especially for poultry. it would mean more than 200 birds a minute are being slaughtered in a plant. that is not a misstatement. 200 birds a minute. there is no way there can be any inspection of these carcasses and these are immigrant workers, extremely dangerous work. imagine both hands get sliced. all sorts of horrible injuries and because of all the contamination from salmonella you can never eat another piece of chicken. they get the chicken into chemicals, things like corn and sodium phosphate. that really over originated with the corn -- the clinton administration. a lengthy answer. i don't know how much time we have. >> what is the mandate of the usda? where

because the decision by the united states not to involve itself in the obama administration, not to involve itself in the searing conflict has done exactly what we promote, what fred talked about in libya, that it has subcontracted policy to qatar and other countries who do not have the same taste in rebels that we do too but not too fine a point on it. so when you look at blowback from libya and i see yourself, why is it to people with whom we are now defending him against whom we are now defending ourselves in benghazi or others or weapons have fallen out by such islamist extremist clerics the answer is because those who would like 92 as and chose to act against gadhafi, choose to act in a way that's anathema to us. we are lucky because of our limited involvement that we have a government there that is a moderate government, a government of people that try to pull ambassadors meeting murdered rather than push them into one. the world will see in syria this opportunist islamists extremists groups and other local groups have come to the forefront. they are well armed and so a rebell

the obama administration. they also think they know that what we need is green energy. we're going to channel a lot of resources to green energy. it is not just democrats who do this. the state of virginia has been trying to plan the love lives of virginians for 100 years. they try to keep the mental feeble from reproducing, they try to keep people from different races from marrying and people from the same-sex from marrying. in the same case it is we know better than these exerts who should love, how people -- exrpt -- exrpts who--experts how we should love. we always say at cato a government of delegated and thus limited powers. we have our rights, we delegated the protection of them to a government. in the document the constitution, we enumerated what powers we were delegating to the government and by doing so we limited them. if it is not within the constitution the government can't do it. there are a few things actually delegated to the federal government and they should do those things. government is essential to a free society but it should be limited. let me say something b
